Ethology Institute The Ethology Institute is a division of Cambridge E-learning Institute. The objective of the institute is to train animal behavior therapists or counselors and professional animal trainers, to treat problem behavior in companion animals, to offer and organize talks and seminars, to conduct research in Ethology and Learning Theory, and to publish literature related to our field of work. The institute council is responsible for the policy of the institute as well as general guidelines. Council members are all teachers, as well as representatives from the administration staff and the student body. The overall policy of the institute is set by Cambridge E-learning Institute's Board of Directors. The Ethology Institute is independent of any commercial and/or political interests or governmental affairs, and does not receive any economical support or funding. All income is generated by the institute and its staff through the services we offer. All our incomes are spent on our educational programs. Serving the public It is expensive to conduct scientific research and there are few institutions, which can afford it. At the Ethology Institute, we combine research and the teaching of our students. In their senior year, all students are assigned to projects, which they present at their final exams. We research primarily in canine, equine, and feline behavior and learning. In recent years we have added human behavior to our research programs. We also co-operate with research projects conducted by other divisions of the CEI. It is our conviction that research shall serve the public and, therefore, we publish popular books based on our scientific research. In addition, we offer free advice to our subscribers who might need help. High standards Our educational standards are high, our BSc program requiring the same level of proficiency form our students as any other correspondent program from accredited universities and colleges with a high reputation. Since it is our objective to maintain a high standard, we are every year subject to an independent and external evaluation. Our graduates are examined by two external accredited professors who approve them and sign their diplomas. We want our students to fare well once they graduate. Thanks to our good reputation, other educational institutions generally give our students credits for their accomplished studies at the Ethology Institute, though, this occurs at their discretion only. Students completing successfully their one, two, or three years programs receive upon completion a diploma and a transcript of records stating their merits.
The Ethology Institute is an approved education provider by the Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors.

The seal of the Ethology Institute depicts a book, a wolf, a human, and a landscape, illustrating our interaction with nature and our quest for knowledge. The wolf is the original drawing by Alice Rasmussen that we have been using since 1983. Our motto says Scientia, Intelligendo, Veneratio -- Knowledge, Understanding, Respect.
